National Specialty - UPDATE
Host hotel for the 2009 STCA National Specialty will be:

Room rate will be $119.00 per night. This price includes a full breakfast buffet at the Coppermill Restaurant:

National Specialty - UPDATE
Due to the current economic climate, the STCA Board has voted to shorten our 2009 National Specialty week and rather than hold our usual "stand alone" show, designate the shows at Devon and Montgomery as our Regional and National Specialties, respectively.
The Board feels the above decision would help club members who might have to make the financial decision between attending these very prestigious shows and our National Specialty, and would also allow our foreign exhibitors ample time to still participate in the World Show the following weekend. Additionally, this decision would also help save the STCA treasury the many expenses inherent in holding a stand alone show.
Our proposed (pending AKC approval) 2009 National plans include:
Thursday, October 1st - Hatboro Kennel Club all breed show - supported by the Lehigh Valley Am Staff club
Friday, October 2nd - Hatboro KC all breed show - supported by the STCA
Saturday, October 3rd - Devon KC all breed show - Regional Specialty hosted by the Lehigh Valley Am Staff club
Sunday, October 4th - Montgomery County Terrier Group show - STCA 2009 National Specialty show
This plan not only allows our club members four separate chances for major points for unfinished Am. Stafs, it may very well allow four different Am. Stafs to be chosen to represent our breed at the Group level at these very prestigious East Coast shows.
As always, we are actively seeking willing participants to help with various duties of organizing this year's National Specialty. If you are interested in helping at any level, please contact show@amstaff.org and let us know how you might volunteer to help us.
