STCA Editorial/Advertising Policy and Guidelines
The STCA Magazine is the official publication of the Staffordshire Terrier Club and is intended to serve as a means to communicate news about the STCA's activities, news affecting STCA's membership, educational and informational materials, to provide a forum for the membership as well as to provide advertising services to paid advertisers.
The STCA Magazine welcomes submissions of manuscripts, photographs, drawings, cartoons, and other such material for publication. Materials submitted and accepted for publication become the property of the STCA Magazine unless other written arrangements are made with the Editorial Committee. Submissions to the Editorial Committee or the Publisher will be handled with care but we cannot assume responsibility for unsolicited or advertising materials. No materials can be acknowledged or returned unless accompanied by a self-addressed envelope bearing proper postage. Please allow a minimum of two months for reply.
The STCA Magazine, its Publisher and its Editorial Committee reserve the right to reject and/or edit all submissions. Materials which, in the opinion of the STCA Editorial Committee and/or Publisher portray American Staffordshire Terriers in a vicious light or which are in poor taste or are otherwise inappropriate for publication will be rejected and any funds accompanying such materials will be refunded. The STCA Editorial Committee further reserves the right to request proof of titles and certificates mentioned in advertising. Any opinions expressed in materials accepted for publication are those of the author, and do not reflect the opinions of the Officers, Board of Directors or the Staffordshire Terrier Club of America, nor does their publications reflect endorsement of any such opinions of the STCA. No articles by members will be published for the issue going to judges.
The STCA Magazine accepts advertising in good faith and assumes that those advertising act in good faith in the representations and information provided in their advertisements. The STCA promotes and expects fairness and accuracy in all submissions and in buyer/seller relationships arising out of materials published in the STCA Magazine. Therefore, the STCA Magazine reserves the right to refuse any materials considered in the opinion of the Editorial Committee and/or Publisher to be questionable or to require additional information before publishing such material. The STCA does not recommend, guarantee, endorse, nor rate breeders, their kennels, or their stock. The STCA or Publisher does not take responsibility for errors and/or misrepresentations in advertising or misunderstandings arising between buyer and seller.
